About Our Founder

 

 

The founder and CEO of Specialty Home Care Group, Danica DiAngelis, was born in Seoul, South Korea. She was adopted as a young child by a loving family and was raised in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. Danica’s parents are retired doctors which offered her an opportunity to grow up immersed in the healthcare industry. Their biological daughter was born with Down Syndrome and Danica helped in caring for her needs. 

Danica resides in Minneapolis with her three sons. She started this company after seeing the measurable results and positive impact that in-home healthcare creates in people’s lives. She is a compassionate person who enjoys helping others around her and takes great pride in running a company which allows her to live out those values through her work.

 

The photo taken above is in wine country near Portland, OR with her dog, Mabel. Mabel is a therapy dog and will occasionally visit with Specialty Home Care Group's clients. These clients have found great joy in their interaction with this sweet, little pup!
